NOTE REGARDING USE OF IMAGES: For the purposes of advertising on social media, our website and other locations, we reserve the right to use any photos or videos we take of products we create, including those taken during the production phase and upon completion.

If your order includes an item that is a surprise, secret, etc and you would like us to delay posting photos/videos until a particular date, please be sure to mention this in the text box at the time of ordering. You may also message or email us to discuss prior.

If we are not alerted to any need to delay use of a particular photo or video, your item will be shown on our social media accounts, website or elsewhere at a time chosen by us, including before Mother's/Father's Day, a wedding or other celebration.

If you make an error and notice after your order has been placed, please call us immediately to rectify before the design and production process begins.

No refund or exchange will be provided for products with customer errors. Orders are unable to be cancelled if the production process has already commenced.

Please contact us prior to finalising your order if you do not understand any part of our policies or website information, or require further assistance or clarification.

Meridian Etch ("we" and "us") ships worldwide. Please contact us for international shipping as this needs to be calculated on an individual basis. The below applies to Australian orders only. 

All orders are sent by regular post via Australia Post from South Gippsland, Victoria. Please refer to the Australia Post website for estimated delivery times as these constantly change due to the time of year, significant events and network congestion. We cannot guarantee exact arrival times for any order. Australia Post does not guarantee an exact delivery time, only delivery within a reasonable timeframe.

Most orders are sent with a tracking number, which is provided in the shipping confirmation email. You can use this number to track your package on the Australia Post website: https://auspost.com.au/mypost/track/. Items with free shipping do not include tracking numbers. Please contact us if you would like to pay the difference for a tracking number to be included.

* $12 flat rate shipping does NOT apply to large signs and other wall decor. 'Large' is determined by us and is calculated based on current Australia Post costs based on sign size.

EXPRESS SHIPPING

Express delivery via Australia Post is only available within Australia. As our studio is located in South Gippsland VIC, we are not within a guaranteed next day delivery area so please be mindful of this when placing your order and selecting Express Shipping.  

Please note, delays to express delivery due to network congestion or other issues experienced by Australia Post are out of our control.

Selecting Express Shipping at the time of purchase does not expedite our standard production and order processing times. However, we do our best to dispatch every item as quickly as possible, especially if Express Shipping has been selected.

If selecting 24-hour turnaround at the time of purchase to expedite production and order processing (selected items only), Express Shipping is not included unless selected and paid for at the time of purchase.

Please note that Australia Post may suspend their express delivery service with little or no forewarning. Where we are aware of such a suspension, customer’s will only be charged for Regular Post.

RE-DELIVERY

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the delivery address is correct at the time of purchase. Where provision of an incorrect delivery address results in re-delivery being required, the purchaser will be required to pay a second shipping fee. 

AUTHORITY TO LEAVE 

All orders are sent via Australia Post with ‘Authority to Leave’, meaning the delivery person may leave the parcel in a safe place (as determined by Australia Post). If no safe place is available, a calling card will be left for the parcel to be retrieved from the nearest Australia Post outlet. 

DELIVERY DELAYS

Once an order leaves our studio and is handed over to Australia Post, delivery timeframes are out of our control. If we become aware of a delivery delay, we will notify the customer as soon as possible via email. 

CHRISTMAS ORDER CUT OFF & CHRISTMAS SHUT DOWN

Due to the significant increase in orders and expected delays to delivery services in the lead up to Christmas each year, we will display a Christmas order cut off date on our website home page, as well as Facebook and Instagram. All orders received prior to (and on) this advertised date will be made and shipped as a matter of urgency to align with Australia Post estimated delivery times for delivery prior to Christmas. Selecting Express Shipping at the time of purchase will give you the best possible chance of receiving your order in time. However, we cannot guarantee that any order will arrive before Christmas once it has been handed over to Australia Post.

All orders received after the Christmas order cut off date will continue to be processed and dispatched up until the last business day before Christmas, after which we will close for two weeks. All remaining unfulfilled orders and new orders received during these two weeks will be fulfilled as soon as possible upon our return in January.

Please note, our 24-hour turnaround service is not available from 15 December to 15 January each year.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long will my order take to arrive?

We work extremely hard to have orders made and shipped as soon as humanly possible. Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be designed, produced and shipped during non-peak periods and up to 10 business days during peak periods, at which time you will receive a shipping confirmation email including tracking number. From there, delivery time is out of our hands but the tracking number will give you peace of mind. 

We offer the option of Express Shipping for those urgent orders, which you must select at the time of purchase. Please note, although this speeds up the shipping stage of the process, it does not speed up the design, production and order processing. Therefore, we also offer a 24-hour turnaround service for selected products for an additional fee. However, if your chosen item does not have this as an option on our website, please contact us prior to placing your order to check our capacity to offer you this additional service.

Please note, our 24-hour turnaround service is not available from 15 December to 15 January each year. 

Please note that Meridian Etch is not responsible for delivery delays after your order has left our premises as this is out of our control. 

Can I pick up locally?

Yes, we’re located in Leongatha VIC. If you’re in South Gippsland or surrounding areas, feel free to contact us prior to placing your order to see if we’re headed in your direction and can save you postage costs!

What if my product gets damaged, lost or stolen in transit? 

As detailed in our Returns & Cancellations Policy provided on our website, Meridian Etch is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen orders in transit with Australia Post or any other delivery service provider. Each order is inspected thoroughly and packaged adequately before being dispatched from our studio to ensure it is in a suitable condition when it leaves our premises.

If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, you may be eligible for compensation from Australia Post. All claims for compensation must be lodged with Australia post within a specific timeframe.  For damaged items, we recommend taking photos of the product and packaging.

Do you ship internationally?

We certainly ship internationally. If you require an item to be shipped internationally, please contact us (hello@meridianetch.com.au) to arrange it.  

The customer is responsible for all customs/duties fees and taxes. 

Meridian Etch is not responsible for replacing orders where they have been seized by customs in another country for whatever reason.

Please contact us prior to finalising your order if you do not understand any part of our policy or require further assistance or clarification.

Please ensure you read all product descriptions and dimensions carefully and check all spelling, grammar, images, designs, sizes and colours prior to finalising your order.

RETURNS 

In line with the Australian Consumer Law, the goods provided by Meridian Etch must match their description, be of an acceptable quality and be fit for purpose. We make and package each individual item with the utmost care to ensure each item passes a number of quality checks before it is dispatched to the customer. We take all reasonable measures to ensure no faulty items are dispatched and all items are of acceptable quality and meet the relevant product description on our website.

Meridian Etch does not offer returns, refunds or exchanges on personalised or custom orders, gift vouchers, unwanted gifts or sale items except where Australian Consumer Law requires us to do so. 

Meridian Etch does not provide returns, refunds or exchanges for the following reasons so please choose carefully:

  • Change of mind
  • Decide you don’t like it or have no use for it
  • It is a gift and the recipient does not like/want it or already has one
  • Damaged item due to inappropriate mounting
  • Damaged item due to not handling, storing or cleaning it as per the instructions on our Product Care & Safety page
  • Delayed shipping
  • Lost, stolen or damaged during transit

Where a return is approved at our discretion or in compliance with Australian Consumer Law, the return shipping costs paid by the customer are non-refundable. Only the amount paid for the item(s) minus any shipping or return shipping costs will be refunded.

We do not provide repairs, returns, refunds or exchanges where an item is damaged due to inappropriate use or where you have not followed the advice contained on our Product Care & Safety page.

Incorrect orders:

If you receive your order and it is incorrect for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your order (email: hello@meridianetch.com.au). We will require your order number, photographs and description of what is incorrect. Any order that is returned without prior approval in writing will be refused. All return shipping costs are to be paid by the customer unless we are at fault. We cannot guarantee that an exact replacement will be available due to the inherent differences in wood grain or the availability of materials. However, we will do our absolute best.

Personalisation errors and differences:

Customer errors in ordering for personalisation such as errors in spelling, grammar, omissions or incorrect choice of image(s), sizing, colour(s), font(s) or design(s) are the responsibility of the customer. We do not provide repairs, returns, refunds or exchanges where a customer error has been made.

If an error is realised after an order has been finalised, a re-run fee may be applicable for a corrected version of the product to be made. This is at the discretion of Meridian Etch and is only available where an order has not been finalised and dispatched. Where an order has already been dispatched, a re-run is not available and a new order will need to be placed via our website.

Due to the fact that some names and wording have more letters/words than the product examples displayed on our website, each personalised product varies in shape, size and appearance. All personalised products are created using a template; however, longer names/phrases may need to be reduced in size and shorter names/phrases may need to be enlarged in order for the final product size to be proportionate. Where a product design is deemed as proportionate by us, returns, refunds and exchanges are not available where a customer does not like the required alterations.

Imperfections:

Due to the natural materials used in many of our products and the overall nature of unique handmade products, some items may have imperfections or inconsistencies. Colour, pattern, texture, and darkness and consistency of engraving may also vary due to the unavoidable but expected differences in natural wood grain. We take the utmost care in selecting, handling, checking and packaging each item to ensure any imperfections or inconsistencies are minor and only add to the uniqueness of the item. Therefore, no return, refund or exchange is offered for custom orders where minor imperfections or inconsistencies are present. 

We take the utmost care in ensuring the colour options shown on our website are as accurate as possible. However, due to the ways in which colours are displayed differently on digital screens and devices, the colours displayed on our website and social media posts will vary to those same colours in real life. The colours on our website and social media are provided as guides only. No return, refund or exchange is available where the colour(s) of your item(s) varies from how the colours were displayed on your screen at the time of ordering.

RETURNS PROCEDURE

If your item is found not to match the individual product description on our website, not to be of an acceptable quality or not to be fit for purpose, please contact us by email (hello@meridianetch.com.au) for a repair, replacement or refund. Please provide proof of purchase and photo(s) of the issue for us to assess.

Do not send your item back to us without receiving email authorisation to do so. You must return the item to us within 7 days of receiving return authority in writing.

Refunds will be credited to the original method of payment. Exchanges are available in place of refunds if preferred. 

ORDER CANCELLATIONS 

Any order, except personalised or custom orders, that is cancelled within 24 hours of receipt of payment confirmation will be eligible for a full refund. Order cancellations must be made by calling 0488 632 810, after which you will be requested to send through your order cancellation request by email.

Personalised or custom orders that are cancelled within 24 hours of receipt of payment confirmation are eligible for a refund of 50% of the product price, plus full refund of shipping costs.

Personalised or custom orders that are cancelled after 24 hours from the time of payment receipt confirmation are eligible for a refund of the shipping costs only, unless the item has already been made and dispatched.

DAMAGED, LOST OR STOLEN IN TRANSIT

Meridian Etch is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen orders in transit with Australia Post or any other delivery service provider.
